Justere is a watch companion application designed to help users understand and set mechanical watches, use astronomical and time-related instruments, and manage their saved watches. This Privacy Policy explains how Justere accesses, uses, stores, and transmits information.

2. Data we do not require
Justere does not require you to create a Justere account. The app does not include advertising or advertising tracking. The current version of Justere does not include a third-party analytics SDK or crash-reporting SDK. Justere does not sell personal data.
3. Information stored on your device
Most information created in Justere stays on your device. This can include saved watches, watch-setting history, watch preferences, theme/display preferences, location-mode preferences, a manually selected location and time zone, network-time preference, temporary display-label caches and local entitlement cache metadata.
This local information is used to provide app functionality. It is not uploaded to a Justere account because Justere does not currently provide user accounts or cloud synchronization.
4. Location
Justere can request foreground location access so astronomical functions can calculate information such as sunrise, sunset, moon position and related values for your location.
Automatic location
When you allow automatic location, the production design processes device coordinates locally for astronomical calculations. The automatic-location path uses the device time zone and does not send those GPS coordinates to TimeAPI. Justere does not request background-location access.
Manual location
You may enter a manual latitude and longitude. A manual location can be stored locally on your device. If that location does not already have a time zone, Justere may send the latitude and longitude to TimeAPI to determine the applicable IANA time zone. This request is made only to provide app functionality.
Place names
Production reverse geocoding is disabled unless Justere is explicitly configured with a production reverse-geocoding provider. If such a provider is enabled in a future production version, this policy will be updated as appropriate.
5. Optional network time
Justere normally uses your device clock. If you enable optional network time, Justere contacts TimeAPI to obtain a UTC reference. The resulting correction is kept in memory and is not used to create a Justere user profile. As with ordinary internet requests, the service and internet infrastructure may receive technical request information such as an IP address.
6. Watch search
Justere includes a local verified watch catalogue. If remote watch search is enabled in the production build, watch-search text may be sent to a Justere-configured search service so additional results can be returned. This information is used for the search request and is not intended for advertising or profiling.
7. Justere Pro purchases
Justere Pro is intended as a one-time in-app purchase.
Android / Google Play
Google Play handles the transaction. To securely verify Pro, the app may send a Google Play purchase token, app package/product identifiers, a request hash and a Google Play Integrity token to a Justere-controlled verification service. Relevant information is checked with Google APIs. The Justere verifier is designed not to log purchase tokens or Integrity tokens and does not use them for advertising or profiling.
iOS / Apple
Apple handles purchases through StoreKit. Justere uses StoreKit's verified transaction and entitlement information to determine whether Justere Pro is available. Apple processes App Store transaction information under Apple's own privacy practices.
8. Fraud prevention and security
On Android, Justere uses Google Play Integrity and server-side purchase verification to reduce fraudulent purchases, modified application builds and unauthorized access to Pro functionality. The verification service may process technical request information such as IP address for short-lived rate limiting and security. The application does not create a persistent Justere user profile from this information.
9. Third-party services
Depending on platform and enabled features, Justere may communicate with Google Play / Google Play Integrity, Apple App Store / StoreKit, TimeAPI, a Justere-controlled purchase-verification service, a Justere-configured watch-search service, and a reverse-geocoding provider if explicitly enabled. Justere does not use these services to serve targeted advertising.
10. Data retention
Justere's primary personal app data is stored locally on the user's device. The current Android purchase-verification design does not persist purchase or Play Integrity tokens in an application database and intentionally avoids logging request bodies or those tokens. Operational hosting logs, store transaction records and third-party service records may be retained by relevant providers according to their policies and configured retention periods.
11. Data deletion and user choices
Because Justere currently has no user account, there is no Justere cloud account to delete. You can remove local content where controls are available, switch location modes, revoke location permission, disable optional network time, or clear the app's local data/uninstall the app.

12. Children
Justere is a general watch utility and is not designed as a service directed specifically to children. The app does not knowingly use personal information for advertising or profiling.
13. Security
Justere is designed to minimize data transmission and keep most user-created app data on-device. Production network communication uses HTTPS. Purchase verification uses platform validation and integrity controls. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.
14. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if Justere adds or changes features, service providers, data handling or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date will be changed when the policy is revised.
